Distilled is more than just a company. It's a community, a team and a family. We care about each other as individuals, not just the skills and experiences we contribute.
A big part of this is how we embrace diversity of thought, providing a place for people of any background or experience to be themselves and do great work. Everyone who joins Distilled brings something important to our culture.
Here at Distilled, we are committed to continuously educating ourselves so we can pave the way for an inclusive workplace and continue to be allies for the LGBTQ+ community. For the past few years we have celebrated pride by inviting Shout Out, a LGBTQ+ charity to deliver educational workshops on LGBTQ+ issues to all of our employees.
Shout Out is a charity that is close to our hearts and we will continue to support them in any way we can.
In Distilled, we have 26 different nationalities in a headcount of over 150 people; we believe our diversity makes Distilled a Great Place to Work. We are a Trusted Partner with the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment, and we support people both within and outside of the European Union to work with us.
We offer generous relocation packages and have developed a "Welcome to Ireland" guide to help employees set up their new life here in Ireland.
June was Pride Month in Distilled and we celebrated our 'Stay Connected' breakfast with a Pride theme. We had a lovely morning catching up and eating delicious snacks, including our Pride themed cupcakes!
We updated all of our brand logos and icons in the fabulous rainbow colours in support of the LGBT+ community. Employees updated their social banners and slack photos too!
We have a Women's Network that's supported by Adevinta, who are part owners of Distilled. The "Adevinta for Everyone" programme is a global network for anyone leading or working on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives.
Our Distilled Women's Network or DWN is lucky to get best in class support, resources, training, and the chance to collaborate with other DE&I leads across the Adevinta group. Our DWN also has the full support of our CEO and Leadership Team, and it's an excellent way for women across Distilled to connect and support each other. And in these uncertain times, having a place for people to connect is as important as ever.
All female identifying employees in Distilled have been invited to a development programme. The programme is highly interactive and experiential, it aims to build confidence and to encourage individuals to hold up a mirror to their behaviours and deal with change confidently.
Our unconscious bias training is designed to address the destructive impact it has on our diversity, equity, inclusion and to send the message to existing and prospective employees that they are welcome, listened to and heard. We want all our employees to become more aware and conscious and to take inventory of their own biases.
We help employees recognise and question their own and their colleagues’ biases, not to be afraid to speak about them and manage them in order to create a more inclusive culture. The training provides a theoretical background to bias but focuses on activities to help people surface their own unconscious biases and equip them with tools to address them.
We want to make sure our employees are not only trained and ready, but that they are enjoying their working experience. Our benefits booklet is designed to support their professional and personal growth, as well as their overall health & wellbeing.
