On February 1st The Distillers kicked off our CSR with a “Distilled Feb Fitness Fundraiser”. The event tracked activity (walking, running, workouts - see full list here) and took place from Feb 1st - Feb 28th. In true Distiller style there were a number of prizes up for grabs.
Charity Element:
World cancer day was on February 4th, and we decided to mark this by choosing Childhood Cancer Foundation Ireland as our charity as part of this fitness challenge.
Childhood Cancer Foundation is a charity founded by and led by parents of children with cancer. As a parent-led charity, we understand that a diagnosis of childhood cancer has a devastating impact on the entire family. We help to ease the burden of diagnosis and treatment on children and their families by raising funds to provide practical and emotional supports. We also advocate for better supports and services for families, as well as better treatments and outcomes for children.
